Yumi’s Tahini Pork with Vermicelli

 Endless Possibilities with Yumi’s Traditional Middle Eastern Tahini

Serves 2



1 tsp sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, crushed
500g pork mince
1 tbsp Yumi’s Traditional Middle Eastern Tahini
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp kecap manis
½ tsp chilli flakes, plus extra to serve
100g rice vermicelli noodles, cooked according to packet instructions
Sliced cucumber, fresh herbs and fried shallots, to serve


  1. Heat oil in a large frypan over medium-high heat.  Add garlic and saute until fragrant.  Add pork and fry, stirring regularly, until browned.
  2. In a small bowl whisk together tahini, soy sauce, kecap manis and chilli flakes.  Add to the mince and fry until combined and heated through.
  3. Divide vermicelli between two plates.  Divide mince over the top of the noodles, serve with chopped cucumber, fresh herbs and a sprinkle of extra chilli flakes and fried shallots.
