Yumi’s Carrot and Toasted Sesame Sausage Rolls

 Endless Possibilities with Yumi’s Carrot with toasted sesame

Makes 32 mini sausage rolls


6 slices thick white bread
500g sausage mince
1 tub Yumi’s Carrot and Toasted Sesame dip
1 brown onion, finely chopped
4 square sheets puff pastry
1 egg yolk whisked with 1 tbsp water
Sesame seeds, to sprinkle
Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 225ºC (fan forced).  Line 2 baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Process bread in a food processor to fine crumb.  In a large bowl combine the breadcrumbs with sausage mince, dip and onion.  Season and mix well.
  3. Separate the meat mixture into 8 equal portions.
  4. Cut puff pastry squares in half.  Roll each meat portion into a long sausage, the same length as the puff pastry lengths.  Place the sausage on the edge of the pastry and roll to enclose.  Repeat with remaining meat and puff pastry then cut each roll into 4 equal portions.
  5. Transfer the sausage rolls to prepared trays.  Brush the sausage rolls with the egg glaze and sprinkle with sesame seeds before baking for 20 mins until flaky and golden.  Serve hot.
