Yumi’s Hommus Brownies (VEGAN)


 Endless Possibilities with Yumi’s Traditional Middle Eastern Hommus

Ingredients

400g dairy-free dark chocolate, chopped
1 tub Yumi’s Traditional Middle Eastern Hommus
350g brown sugar
6 tbsp ground flaxseed whisked together with 200ml water
2 tbsp peanut butter
1 cup (150g) plain flour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160ºC fan).  Line a 20x30cm rectangular baking tin with baking paper.
  2. Place half the chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat and stir until melted and smooth. Allow to cool slightly then whisk in the hommus.
  3. Place the sugar, flaxseed mixture, peanut butter and flour in a bowl with the chocolate hommus mixture and mix well.
  4. Fold through the remaining chocolate pieces and spoon into the prepared tin.  Bake for 30–35 mins or until the centre is just cooked through. Cool completely in the tin then cut into squares.
